How We Evaluate Your Items
We take evaluations seriously because getting the number right matters — for you and for us.
For gold and precious metals, we use both acid testing and Sigma Metalytics — an electromagnetic tool that reads metal content without damaging your piece. For coins and bulk metals, it gives us a reliable read fast. We weigh everything on calibrated scales and check the current spot price before we ever put a number on the table.
For diamonds and jewelry, our staff has the experience to assess what you’ve brought in accurately and explain what we’re looking at. You’re welcome to ask questions — we’d rather you understand the offer than just accept it.
About Alma School Pawn Loans — How They Work Here
Not ready to sell? That’s fine. We offer collateral loans so you can get cash now and come back for your item when you’re ready.
Here’s how our loans are structured:
Loans run on a 90-day schedule with monthly payments. Each payment covers the interest for that month. You’re always welcome to put more toward the principal if you want to pay it down faster, and if you pay it off early, there’s no penalty for that.
We also get that life doesn’t always go to plan. If a month comes where the full payment isn’t doable, just cover the interest and your loan stays in good standing. It carries over without issue and we move forward from there.
There is no redemption discount — the terms are straightforward from the start.
