Pawn Musical Instruments in Mesa, Arizona

A lot of people have instruments they’re not playing anymore — a guitar from a band that never quite happened, a keyboard the kids used for a few years, a saxophone from high school. They’re not junk, but they’re not getting much use either.
At Alma School Pawn, we’ve been working with Mesa residents since 2008, and musical instruments come through our door more often than most people expect. If you need short-term cash and you have an instrument you’re willing to use as collateral, it’s worth coming in and seeing what we can offer.
What Instruments Do We Accept When You Pawn Musical Instruments?
We look at a wide range of instruments. Some of the more common ones we see include:
- Acoustic and electric guitars
- Bass guitars
- Keyboards and digital pianos
- Drum sets and percussion
- Violins, cellos, and other orchestral strings
- Saxophones, clarinets, flutes, and other woodwinds
- Trumpets, trombones, and other brass instruments
- Amplifiers and related gear
If you have something that isn’t on this list, bring it in or give us a call. As long as it’s in decent shape and has resale value, we’ll take a look.
What Affects the Offer?
A few things factor into what we can offer on an instrument:
Brand and quality — Instruments from well-regarded brands tend to hold their value better. Names like Fender, Gibson, Taylor, Martin, Yamaha, Roland, Pearl, and Selmer are ones we see regularly and know well.
Condition — Working instruments in good shape will always get a stronger offer. If something has cosmetic wear but plays fine, that’s usually not a dealbreaker. Bring it in and we’ll evaluate it honestly.
Accessories and cases — Original cases, straps, cables, and any included accessories can help. They won’t make or break the evaluation, but they do add to the overall value.
How the Process Works
Bring the instrument in and we’ll look it over in front of you. We’ll check the condition, identify what it is, and make you a cash offer based on what it’s actually worth. There’s no obligation — if the offer doesn’t work for you, you’re free to walk out.
If you’d like a general idea of what to expect before making the trip, you’re welcome to call ahead.
Pawn or Sell — You Decide
If you’re not ready to part with the instrument permanently, pawning is the way to go. You take a short-term loan using the instrument as collateral, and you keep the right to get it back once the loan is paid off. It’s a good option if the instrument means something to you and you’re just dealing with a temporary cash crunch.
If you’ve decided you’re done with it, we’ll make a straight cash offer to buy it outright.
Loan Terms
Pawn loans at Alma School Pawn run for 90 days. You can pay the balance in full or make payments throughout the loan period — whichever fits your situation better. If you pay it off before day 60, we’ll apply a redemption discount that lowers your total amount due.
If the 90-day deadline is approaching and you need more time, reach out before it hits. We can often extend the loan another 90 days by covering just the accrued interest. We’d rather find a solution than see you lose something you care about.
A Neighborhood Shop Since 2008
We’re locally owned, on Alma School Road, and open seven days a week. We’ve built our reputation in this community by being straight with people — fair evaluations, honest offers, and no pressure. If you’ve got an instrument collecting dust and could use some breathing room, come see us.
